Petroc Sesti

Founder

Petroc Sesti (1973) is a British artist, born in London where he currently lives and works.

Sesti’s work spans both art and science, with a particular focus on the relationship between art, architecture and the viewer.

His passion for science and cosmology fuel his enquiry into how to contain and display moving energy states and notions of the sublime. This manifests in a broad spectrum of mediums, be it through complex interactive mechanical pieces or light based responsive installations.

Engagement in ecological activism, conservation and philanthropy have always been part of his life. He recently founded Platform Earth, an arts-led environment organisation bringing artists, scientists and change-makers together to address the art industry’s carbon emissions.

He is a judge and supporter of the AON Community Art Awards at the CheeseGrater tower in London, and of the Prudential Eye Awards in Singapore, where he is both member of their selection committee and co-presenter of their sculpture prize.
