Hugo Dalton (b. 1978, London) is a British visual artist who lives and works in London. He graduated from Goldsmiths College with a BA in Fine Art (2002). Working with pencil on paper, Dalton looks to capture the energy in any given situation, allowing it to take on new life; he seeks to anchor and find visual form for the intangible, which then evolves into light drawings, wall paintings and sculptures. Dalton’s practice is largely preoccupied with his ongoing exploration of line, undertaking numerous collaborations with dancers and musicians, staging live drawing performances, which form new relationships between line, dance, and sound.
